Dr Jason Bos
Clinical Psychologist
Welcome
I am a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Rose Bay.
My overarching aim is to facilitate a process that helps you make sense of your unique experience. I have found that it is through the development of insight and self-understanding that meaningful and enduring change to one's mental health can occur.
To do so, I focus on creating a respectful, non-judgemental, and compassionate space that welcomes the free expression and exploration of thoughts and emotions. A space where you feel supported, heard and understood.
As a clinical psychologist, I have extensive expertise in helping adults and adolescents with a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma and PTSD, eating disorders and difficulties relating to personality, sexuality, identity, and relationships.
The way I practice is primarily psychodynamic, but at the same time, I am strongly client-focused and have the expertise to integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches to best support your individual needs.
In addition to working in private practice, I am a Research Fellow at Deakin University, a certified Board Approved Supervisor and a Psychology Honours Supervisor. My research interests and publications focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy, addictive behaviours, complex youth mental health and mental health within elite sport.
I welcome you to contact me to discuss our working together.
